About Us

Troop 63 was chartered in the fall of 1970. Troop Meetings are held every Thursday at Burnt Factory Methodist Church beginning at 7:15 and end at 8:30p.m. There are no meetings on Holidays or when schools are dismissed early or closed for inclement weather. Troop committee meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m .All Leaders and Parents are welcome to attend.  Annual membership dues are $120.00 and cover registration, Boy's Life, badges, and other awards.  The Troop is involved in many fundraising events, in an effort to cover the large majority of the scouting program.  The Troop owns a full service concession trailer, as well as a large grill.  Our primary fundraisers are Apple Blossom, Fiber Festival, and a couple of band competitions.  Each scout will have the opportunity to pay their own way through the scouting program.  Troop 63 requires each boy to have a full class A uniform with appropriate insignias and patches. The uniform should be worn to every meeting unless instructed to wear a class B. The Scout Book, notebook and pencil are appropriate items to bring to meetings. We encourage regular involvement and expect each Scout to try his best. We will provide all the means necessary for the boy to achieve the Rank of Eagle Scout. If you have any questions at anytime please contact the Scoutmaster or Committee Chairperson.
